ART REFLECTING ON REALITY IS AT THE CENTRE OF MY INTEREST. I REGISTER AND TRANSPOSE THIS BY USING PAINTING, DRAWING, ROOM INSTALLATIONS, PHOTOGRAPHY, FILM AND SOUND COLLAGES.
BY KEEPING THE TRADITIONAL IMAGING FORMS, WHILE PEEPING OUTWARDS FROM THEM, I CONSTANTLY TRY TO FEEL THOSE BORDER CROSSINGS THAT ARE A KIND OF CROSSOVERS BETWEEN THE TRADITIONAL IMAGING FORMS AND THE SO CALLED NEW MEDIAL FORMS OF EXPRESSION. I AM TRYING TO SHOW THE CROSS SECTION OF THESE THROUGHOUTA VARIETY OF RECODING PROCESSES.
That is how I got to painting ceramics that is how I discovered the technique of painting ceramics. The material is interesting for me because it also stems from the nature and is also formed by humans by hand. With my concept “silver birch” I am searching to combine my organic works, like the wax objects and the body of my works with strong structures of ink lines and tapes. The colorfulness of my pots stems from the black and white drawings and room-installations drawings with black tapes on white walls, and naturally also from the silver birch itself. I use the plastic tapes while paint the pottery from DOMANI, moreover, layers and structures are also very important. These make up the final form. The fragility of the material is also discoverable in the style of my painting process.
